Sending Your Resume
- Explorer Mail | AOL Mail | Netscape Mail

Most e-mail services enable you to send files within your mail messages as attachments. We have listed instructions for the three most popular e-mail clients. Other e-mail software usually works very much like the steps described.

  • Please only send resumes in Microsoft Word (.doc) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.
  • Please don't include large graphics or other documents with your resume.


 
Microsoft Explorer Mail
  1. From the main mail window select "Compose Message" button on the menu bar.
  2. Enter destination e-mail address: careers@bellgroupjobs.com.
  3. Put a short description in the "Subject:" box.
  4. Include a description of the information you are sending and how to contact you in the main message area.
  5. Click on the "Paper Clip" icon in the tool bar.
  6. A new window titled "Insert Attachment" should appear. Search through your directories until you locate the directory where your resume is located.
  7. Click on your resume file. The file name will appear in the "File Name:" box. Click on the "Attach" button.
  8. You should now be back to the previous screen and your file should be listed on the attach line.
  9. Click the "Send" button; the e-mail with your resume attached is submitted.


AOL Mail

  1. Select the "Mail" button on the menu bar.
  2. Enter destination e-mail address: careers@bellgroupjobs.com.
  3. Put a short description in the "Subject:" box.
  4. Include a description of the information you are sending and how to contact you in the main message area.
  5. Click on the "Attach" icon on the left-hand side of your screen.
  6. A new window should appear. Search through your directories until you locate the directory where your resume is located.
  7. Click on your resume file and click on the "Open" button to attach that it to your e-mail.
  8. You should now be back to the previous screen and your file should be a highlighted icon in a new box.
  9. Click the "Send" button; the e-mail with your resume attached is submitted.


Netscape Mail

  1. From the main mail window select "To Mail" button on the menu bar.
  2. Enter destination e-mail address: careers@bellgroupjobs.com.
  3. Put short description in "Subject:" box.
  4. Include a description of the information you are sending and how to contact you in the main message area.
  5. Click on the "Attach" button in the menu bar.
  6. A new window should appear. Click on the "Attach File" button.
  7. A browse window should appear. Search through your file directories until you locate the directory your resume is located in.
  8. Click on your resume file. The file name will appear in the "File Name:" box. Click on the "Open" button.
  9. You should now be back to the previous screen and your file should be highlighted in the main window box.
  10. Make sure that the attach "As Is" button is checked and then click the "OK" button.
  11. Click the "Send" button; the e-mail with your resume attached is submitted.
