Mail Room/Literature Fulfillment

Description:

  • Oversees all activities of the mailroom including receipt, sorting and distribution of incoming mail and preparation of outgoing mail.
  • Delivers mail and internal correspondence throughout the organization.
  • Collects outgoing mail or packages and uses scales and postage meters to weigh
    and affix postage.
  • Uses a gas or electric-powered forklift to load and unload, move or stack catalogs. Stacks or piles materials in a safe manner at the specified locations. Supplies work areas with catalogs.
  • Performs repetitive work to stuff catalogs into designated mailing receptacles.
  • Receives incoming catalogs. Counts items received and checks against packing lists, recording any discrepancies. Prepares receiving reports and notes any shortages or damages. Stores catalogs in trailers using forklifts.
  • Responds to customer requests for literature. Uses computer to access and/or update customer records. Receives and processes orders for products or merchandise by mail, phone or internet. Uses computer to complete orders. May research and rectify customer problems.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keyboard and 10-key skills.
  • Computer literate and proficient with MS Office.
  • Able to solve basic problems.
  • Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Can stand, lift and bend for up to eight hours per day.
  • Able to sit for extended periods, up to three hours at a time.
