Oversee the development of regular and promotional demand forecasts and forecasting tools for new, seasonal and continuing products using statistics, business intelligence and historical-based methodologies. Lead the integration of these forecasting tools and processes into the replenishment, supply chain and manufacturing processes. Primary job functions include:
Create, analyze, and fine tune individual and grouped item demand forecasts and inventory plans
Review, adjust and release planned replenishment orders
Analyze, recommend and process data change requests
Analyze and rationalize forecasts and actual demand. Assist in the improvement process to support efficient forecasting and replenishments
Develop cash flow analysis
Develop market segment analysis
Extensive collaboration and communication with Purchasing, Manufacturing, IT, Marketing, Distribution and Sales
Qualified Applicant should possess the following characteristics:
Previous forecasting and planning experience
Excellent math, statistics, analytical, conceptual and brainstorming skills
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Able to easily view conditions from a global perspective
Detail-oriented with ability to organize and prioritize
Strong bias to action / self-starter
Strong team player
Able to demonstrate creativity and good judgment in solving complex problems
Strong understanding of DRP
Forecasting system implementation a plus
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
