Manufacturing Buyer

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the output of the MRP system
• Align material requirements w/supplier base to maintain & manage inventory
  levels for continuous supply of material to meet purchasing strategy
• Work as part of a team to evaluate supplier performance; sourcing strategies to develop & maintain supplier partnerships

Qualifications:

• Purchasing exp. a must, preferably in a mfg. environment
• Strong understanding of MRP
• Demonstrated initiative, creativity & good judgment in solving complex problems
• Excellent analytical & conceptual skills
• Excellent verbal, written & listening communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics or closely related field OR CPIM certification required. Additional qualifying exp. of a purchasing nature may be substituted for education.
• Familiarity with TQM methodology & problem-solving concepts a plus
