The
members of the Assembly team all share common job responsibilities. They
may each specialize in particular products or processes within
the team, but all are cross-trained to do one anothers roles, and
they cross-train over time to maintain career interest.
Description:
This team assembles small jewelry components.
On this team you will assemble parts according to instructions and
drawings, using hands, hand tools or portable powered tools.
May work at bench as member of assembly group assembling one or
two specific parts and passing unit to another worker.
May be assigned to different workstations as production needs require
or shift from one station to another to reduce fatigue factor.
Verify conformance of parts to stock list using measuring instruments
such as calipers, gauges and micrometers.
Align components for assembly.
Remove high spots and smooth surfaces.
Qualifications:
Excellent manual dexterity, good eyesight (with or without correction)
and an ability to maintain high productivity on repetitive tasks.
Ability to follow instructions and apply common sense understanding
to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to solve basic problems.
Add and subtract two digit numbers; multiply and divide 10s and 100s
by 2, 3, 4, 5.
Perform basic arithmetic.
Desire to learn and willingness to work on a team with others.
