Responsibilities: Utilizes the MRP system to schedule manufacturing production
Maintain schedules to support manufacturing and customer orders
Work with others to gather forecasting information to ensure material availability to meet requested ship dates
Work with Manufacturing Buyer to communicate with suppliers on material availability, issues with on-time deliver, quality, inventory targets, etc.
Analyze and reschedule orders to ensure material availability and inventory levels
Material planning and master scheduling support of contract manufacturing and third party supply chain
Update and report results regularly
Excellent Customer service skills
Qualifications:
B.S. Industrial Engineering or similar technical degree from an accredited college / university. 2-year degree and equivalent applicable experience may also be considered.
5-7 years Production Planning in a manufacturing environment
Material Planning utilizing a MRP system
Background in forecasting
Demonstrated initiative, creativity & good judgment in solving complex problems
Excellent analytical & conceptual skills
Excellent verbal, written & listening communication skills
APICS Certification strongly recommended
Familiarity with TQM methodology, Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving concepts a plus
