Leadership - Training Coach

Description:

  • In addition to the responsibilities of Business Team Coach, the Quality Coach is responsible for planning and directing activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of training programs.
  • Develops and conducts training programs for associates in all areas of the company.
  • Trainers may have specialties, such as sales or manufacturing.
  • Confers with others to gain knowledge of work situation requiring training for associates to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations and technologies.
  • Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
  • Selects or develops teaching aids, such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as those concerned with new employee orientation, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, apprenticeship programs, sales techniques, health and safety practices, public relations, refresher training, promotional development, upgrading, retraining displaced workers and leadership development.
  • Tests trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
Qualifications:
  • College degree or requisite experience required, including appropriate training in providing adult education.
  • Two or more years experience at a curriculum development level in training at another organization required.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to motivate individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, and the willingness and ability to consistently lead from the highest possible example of professional and personal performance are all requirements of this role.
  • Ability to demonstrate documentation skills required.
  • A desire to pursue personal and professional growth as a part of the role is also necessary.
