- In addition to the responsibilities of Business Team Coach, the
Quality Coach is responsible for planning and directing activities
concerned with development, application, and maintenance of Safety.
- Develops and implements safety program to prevent or correct unsafe
environmental working conditions, utilizing knowledge of industrial
processes, mechanics, engineering, chemistry, psychology and industrial
health and safety laws.
- Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment
to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
- Tours facility regularly to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery
and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure
compliance with safety regulations. Determines requirements for safety
clothing and devices and designs, builds and installs or directs installation
of safety devices on machinery.
- Conducts and coordinates safety and first aid training to educate
workers about safety policies, laws and practices.
- Manages safety programs that motivate safe behavior, submits articles
to corporate newsletter to promote safety, and investigates any accidents
or near-misses to minimize recurrence.
- College degree or requisite experience required, including appropriate
safety certifications (CPR Trainer Certification, Forklift Trainer Certification,
Hazardous Materials Handling Certification required).
- Five or more years experience at a decision-making level in quality
at another organization required.
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to motivate individuals
from a wide range of backgrounds, and the willingness and ability to
consistently lead from the highest possible example of professional
and personal performance are all requirements of this role.
- A desire to pursue personal and professional growth as a part of the
role is also necessary.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds required.
