ISOP – Telecommunications Administrator
The Opportunity.

Rio Grande is seeking a telecommunications specialist to join our Information Systems Operations team. This person provides Tier II support for voice, voicemail and Unified Communications issues. They also perform necessary maintenance and configuration tasks on telecommunications infrastructure such as voice (IP Telephony, PBX, voicemail), audio/video (conference equipment), Unified Communications (collaborative web conferencing, instant messaging, faxing, etc.) and supporting infrastructure.
The Fun.
- Manage daily tickets and problem resolution for end users.
- Provide ACD programming.
- Provide T1 programming and support.
- Perform Voice and Data wiring, installation and repair.
- Maintain and administer all of the telecommunications infrastructure systems.
- Manage telecommunications accounts.
- Perform assigned telecommunication back-ups, recoveries, security procedures and tasks.
- Work with internal customers to install and implement requested features.
- Be available for after-hours "on call" on a rotating basis.
The Requirements.
Five years of telecommunications experience with knowledge of Inter-tel equipment and Microsoft Server operating systems. A degree in Computer Science is preferred. Strong collaborative and effective communication and project planning skills are a must. In addition, the successful candidate will possess a high level of self-directed initiative and be detail oriented.
