Rio Grande is seeking a Project Manager to join our Information Systems, Developers and Analysts (ISDA) team. The IS Project Manager works closely with internal customers to understand business needs, current processes and challenges. This person works with various functional areas to gather requirements for their business requirements and collaborates with teams to prioritize these needs and deliver technology solutions. Technology solutions may be process re-designs, new systems implementation or existing systems enhancements.
The ISDA team provides system tools and processes to capture, create, share and leverage knowledge. The team supplies the solutions necessary for the organization’s stakeholders’ success. The ISDA team converts information from project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to create or modify computer programs. The team compiles and writes documentation for program development and subsequent revisions. The Bell Group operates in a Microsoft SQL environment.
Throughout various projects, the IS Project Manager’s work includes
(but is not limited to):
- Documenting and developing business requirements, scope of work and high level specifications.
- Mapping processes and data flow to ensure appropriate project planning.
- Working with internal programmers and external vendors to ensure adequate project development.
- Performing QA testing and working with users for complete user testing.
- Providing documentation and training.
- Implementing solutions.
- Assisting in troubleshooting and providing post-implementation user support.
A Master’s Degree in Information Sciences or equivalent experience is required. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of technical consulting experience in an IS project management or business process analysis role (including consistent documentation, change management and project deliverables). He or she will also possess strong technical knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Project and SQL Server along with knowledge of database design, SQL stored procedures. Knowledge of eCommerce, search engines and additional internet technologies is a plus. Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills are required. The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with excellent follow-through and problem solving abilities will also serve this person well in the ISDA Project Manager role. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or other ERP systems in a plus.
