Engineering - Document Control

Description:

  • Coordinate and manage documentation archives for engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, to ensure customer contract requirements are met through ensuring that proper documentation is available at all times.
  • Schedule check-in/check-out for drawings, specifications, software, technical manuals and other documents and manage REV changes of documents.
  • Monitor status of projects to ensure documentation is submitted according to schedule.
  • Review and verify project documents for completeness, format and compliance with documentation and REV requirements.
  • Manage library or section containing specialized materials for product design, development and manufacturing operations.
  • Select, order, catalog and classify volume reference collection for professional and administrative staffs.
  • Assist teammates in documentation problems.
  • Maintain computer database of documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Two to four years performing document control or administrative support, preferably in
    an engineering environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work efficiently and interact with many different stakeholders requiring various documentation support simultaneously.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a team environment.
  • Some education in library science or related field desirable.
